Running eyes – I like that picture! 🙂
The Poem Daily
Hold the earth reverent
the earth holds us but irrelevantly
in the palm of your hand,
in her muddy womb she dreams
for without its surface
for absent nothing there are no forms
legs could not stand
we all sit in profound darkness
Bury its darkness
darkness has no significance absent radiance
and inevitable plight,
we wander lacking insight
for its surface only gives
for nothing gives unconditionally as it receives
without any respite
compassion is remorseless
Such is our great vale
all creatures travail
a giver of accord,
discord and accord are lovers
of which we never truly realize
that which we only understand
til the last of it is poured
when the last blood drips from our quill
